Our WIT weekend for September happened to fall at the end of our vacation so we decided to take it in. The weather was wonderful for the weekend so we all enjoyed our time outside, walking, playing golf, having evening campfires plus just plain hanging out.
We were at Cultus Lake at the Thousand Trails campground where one of our members has a membership. It is a very nice campground but unfortunately it is not close to the lake so not all that great for those of us who do not pull a car!!!
Our friends Sharon and Mike did take me for a drive in their new hard top convertible on Saturday afternoon, now that is a flashy car! We drove up to a winery where Sharon purchased some lovely organic blueberries and then we drove around the lake going up and down roads I did not know existed.
Friday evening was dinner at the restaurant by the little golf course and Saturday was a turkey dinner put on by the park for their members. They were kind enough to invite our group so we all contributed with salads and goodies. The dinner most certainly filled us up, I think many of us thought we would have to be rolled away from the dinner table.
Bob and I left right after the pancake breakfast on Sunday morning as we both were looking forward to getting home. Once the coach was unpacked we had time to give it a good bath before we took it down to storage. Next trip will be the spring.
