On Thursday last we headed down to John Lawson Park for our last picnic of the year. The forcast was for good weather and then turning a little iffy. Our travels this year played a big part in the number of picnics we were able to have, Bob has missed them.
It was a beautiful afternoon and as you can see the water was alight with diamonds sparkling in the sun. We watched two of the cruise ships heading off into the sunset wishing that maybe we should be on one of them. Maybe next year.
On Friday evening we decided on dinner out at Chez Michael for a late celebration of our 15th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful evening but had not realized that Sarah McLaughlin was playing at Ambleside, parking was at a premium. We had given up hope of finding a spot so had driven down to the restaurant to tell them we couldn't make it. One of the owners would have nothing to do with that and found us a tiny little space that I could drive into after letting Bob out of the car. I was hoping that the person parked next to us wouldn't want to get into his car. Since he was still there when we left we came to the conclusion that he was probably illegally parked in the spot and had gone down to the concert.
It would have been a beautiful evening to take in the concert, too bad we had not being paying attention as we probably would have gone.
