Happy Easter!
The rain poured down but that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of Alexs, Andrew, Steven and Julie when they came to visit Grandpa and Gramma Birch on Easter Sunday afternoon.
Julia was dressed in a beautiful dress, she looked just like a princess! The dress didn't last the whole evening, she was soon in more comfortable clothes.
All of the grand kids enjoyed exploring the toy box and the house. Crayons, some paper and the sticker books Grandpa had gave us a few moments of silence when the the adults could hear each other speak.
A yummy ham, mixed vegetable, broccoli salad plus a Caesar salad rounded off with a big fruit salad, ice cream and homemade chocolate cookies was the meal for the day. Everyone left the table a little over stuffed. Karen had introduced us to a new Chilean wine which was enjoyed by all.
The families headed for home shortly after 7. Bob & I did the dishes in the laundry room as our kitchen sink decided to plug up just in time to do the dishes. All was solved later in the evening but it didn't hurt us to do the dishes by hand.
